You have no idea how much this post has made my day. I’m actually feeling a little weepy. I’m so so so proud of you! What a stark difference from your original (D&D) essay. Sending you hugs, Nami
Thank you Nami!! I still credit that essay and your class with getting me here in the first place. Also, when I realized that I had unwittingly written a sequel to my first "Working With Sandpaper" piece, and I thought back to the D&D essay... I thought, yeah, maybe decision-making is a chronic conflict for me 🤣
Kevin spent a semester at Harlaxton Manor in Grantham, England during his sophomore year at University of Evansville (they own the Manor). They were able to travel every weekend, either with school trips or on their own. After his experience there, he told us that you could plunk him anywhere in the world and he knows he could find his way home. This, the kid from a small town in rural Illinois. He came back home so much more confident and feeling a connection with people and places he visited. So glad you are finding your way, Casey!!
So much to be thankful for!
When did the Ritz change its name to “hostel”?
🤣 If only, if only…

All that continued smoothness is a wonderful thing, Casey.

Wow, thank you for sharing that. I'm definitely starting to pick up on what Kevin meant!
P.S. Have a great time in Ireland with your family! That was the best place Bill and I have ever visited! Happy Thanksgiving!
